Superior Waterproofing and Breathability
The Slikke II jacket features a waterproof and windproof Aquaseal micro-porous membrane, preventing rainwater from entering while allowing moisture to escape through its micro-pores. This membrane is crafted from interlaced fibers, creating imperceptible pores that block water penetration while letting the body's moisture (steam) evaporate.
Enhanced Protection Features
The Slikke is equipped with sealed and waterproof zippers, featuring a gutter on the back of the front zipper for extra protection against infiltration. The seams are overlapped and sealed with the industry's most waterproof adhesive. The wrists are sealed to provide additional protection against water and humidity.
At the shoulders, where rain hits the hardest, the Slikke II has a seamless one-piece fabric to increase waterproofing. It also features a silicone gripper with a stopper to keep your backpack or weapon strap in place. The silicone on the shoulders distributes the weight of your equipment and limits infiltration due to membrane compression.
Ventilation and Accessibility
Zippered underarm side vents allow you to regulate and control body heat. The 3 front pockets are positioned at a height that maintains accessibility even when wearing a backpack with a waist attachment.
The hood is equipped with a semi-rigid blade to protect your head from rain. The face opening adjustment is internal to prevent potential infiltration. The back of the hood has an adjustment system that frees up your sight and allows the hood to follow head movements. Each zipper puller has a silicone gripper for easy opening and closing, whether you're wearing gloves or not.
