THE ORIGINAL CLASSIC WABLER

The Wabler is a favorite among anglers. Originally a popular spoon for lake trout (touladi), the Wabler has proven itself— as shown in photo galleries from past publications—on a wide variety of species including rainbow trout, brown trout, and all members of the trout family. It’s also a favorite for pike, muskie, walleye, salmon, and even coastal saltwater species.

Like all Williams lures, the Wabler is stamped from premium polished brass. A multi-step plating process is then used to apply the silver and/or 24K gold finishes for which Williams lures are known. These are not standard silver and gold finishes—Williams’ plating is of jewelry-quality. The final step in the process adds a top layer that is heat-cured. This process, known as “electroclear,” doesn’t dull the finish like lacquer would. It makes the silver and half/half finishes saltwater-resistant and nearly tarnish-proof.

Thanks to its stabilizing ridge and unique shape, the Wabler is a versatile spoon that performs well at various retrieval speeds. The ridge, now a Williams trademark, prevents the Wabler from spinning without altering its proven shape and action. This feature works so well that both the U.S. and Canada granted Williams one of the rare patents ever given for a spoon design.

A world-renowned Canadian classic that continues to stand out year after year.
