Hunting and Fishing Sales Associate

L'Archerot, the ultimate hunting and fishing store in the Outaouais region, is looking for hunting and fishing sales associates to support the growth of our Gatineau store.

All candidates must be able to work varied hours and days, including weekends, as required by the business.

Job responsibilities

• Committed to providing unparalleled customer service and ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers
• Serve customers by developing relationships, building customer trust, providing accurate information, and assisting with product selection
• Demonstrate product and inventory knowledge to ensure customer satisfaction
• Support "expertise" through ongoing product knowledge training
• Knowledge of announced and upcoming sales and promotions
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace or retail floor
• Perform all required cash transactions efficiently and accurately
• Contribute to store profitability by receiving, handling, restocking and processing incoming product flow
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer questions or concerns regarding product features and benefits
• Resolution of customer complaints
• Follows all company policies and procedures

Education and/or experience required

• Knowledge and experience in the field of hunting and fishing
• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Math skills / reasoning ability
• Ability to calculate numbers such as discounts and give change to customers

Communication skills

• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with our customers and other associates
• Bilingual (French and English)
• Bilingual writing and reading proficiency

Physical requirements

• Able to lift 25kg
• Able to stand for long periods

Other knowledge, skills and abilities

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, colleagues, and clients.
• Must hold a valid PAL. Must be 18 or older and non-smoker
• Ability to use the computerized point of sale register system
• Other duties, assignments and responsibilities as required
